Team Bumblebee is building an open-source autonomous rover in Bangladesh, with PCB manufacturing completed and the project now moving into mechanical prototyping and system integration. We are seeking engineering partners across manufacturing, hardware, software, and financial infrastructure to support the ongoing development.

What this collaboration involves

Team Bumblebee operates as an open engineering project. Every design decision, component selection, and test result is documented publicly.

Fully open-source engineering

All schematics, KiCad files, STEP files, firmware, and build documentation are published on GitHub. Partner contributions are permanently credited in that record.

Long-term hardware development

The rover platform is designed for modular expansion. Active development continues across mechanical, electronics, firmware, and autonomy layers.

Student engineering in an underserved region

This project demonstrates that open-source hardware development is replicable with locally available components, advancing robotics education in Bangladesh.

Engineering transparency

Partner-supplied components and tools are documented with real performance data, integration notes, and honest evaluation — not promotional content.

Large structural components are handled by JLC3DP. Local desktop printing is needed for the rapid design iteration that active robotics development requires.

Outsourcing every design iteration to an overseas service introduces multi-week delays that slow engineering progress significantly. A local printer enables same-day validation of design changes.
