Team Bumblebee is a student robotics team turning documented prototypes into real hardware, with electronics manufacturing underway and every file published on GitHub.

About

Who we are

We're a small student robotics team based in Bangladesh. We build autonomous hardware using locally available parts, document the whole process, and publish everything open-source.

The goal isn't to impress it's to build real things, learn from them, and make it easy for others to do the same.

Open source

Everything on GitHub files, schematics, build logs.

Local hardware

Parts that are actually available in Bangladesh.

Projects

What we're building

Each project is documented and published. Build on our work, or just follow along.

BdSL Translator Glove

Wearable glove that translates Bangladeshi Sign Language into speech in real-time. Flex sensors are 3D printed from conductive TPU no commercial sensors needed. XIAO ESP32-C3 + MPU-6050, custom KiCad PCB (0 DRC errors), Fusion 360 dual-material exoskeleton. Also building an open-source BdSL gesture dataset. PCB fabrication pending.

Planned

ROS 2 Nav Stack

Autonomous outdoor navigation GPS waypoints, SLAM. Will be open-sourced separately.

We're seeking sponsors for the rover build

PCB fabrication and 3D printing are our two biggest bottlenecks right now. KiCad files are ready. STEP files are on GitHub. We just need manufacturing.
